Catching up

 How we wait. Funny faces!

CJ had her Second Grade Safari performance. It was cute. She certainly has picked up on some dramatic acting skills from some where.

Sassy and loving her red shoes!
Sisters through and through.

There was a fun mud day at the school. A select group of staff members and one student were given a mud bath.
It was in honor of the money raised through Pennies for Patients.  Sweetness's class won an opportunity to help with the mud baths.
Little ones waiting and watching it all.
 Sweetness getting her turn!

We are doing our best to pack the calories in to help Doodle put on the weight. He is certainly getting stronger every day. Today he initiated a game of peek a boo with one of the gymnastic coaches and kept distracting the gymnasts when they were directly in front of us. Such a charmer!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day, to my mom, to my mom-in-law, to my grandmas and grandma-in-laws. To all who have taken on the challenge of Motherhood.

This year, my sweet kindergarten, wrote a poem at school about her mother, me!

My Special Mother
by: Sweetness,  May 2013, Kindergarten

My mom’s favorite thing to do is “help me with my homework”.
She is “59” years old.
Her favorite food is “salad”.
Her favorite thing to drink is “Diet Coke”.
Her favorite TV show is “mommy Movies”.
She works for “my grandma”.
I wish my mom would “play with me” everyday.
She is as pretty as a “rose”.
When I am sick my mom “takes me to the bathroom on time”.
Her eyes are “blue”.
I think my mom looks funny when “she plays with the baby”.
I wouldn’t trade my mom for “a dime”.
I love my mom because “she makes lunch”.

It made me smile.  For the record, I am not 59 years old, in fact, my mom is not 59 years old, and I'd rather not be my own grandma! Speaking of grandmas, I guess I work for one of hers. She didn't specify which one, and she has six when including the great grandmas. Glad I have a job!  Her teacher commented that in regards to my care when she is sick, that was a first for a response. I think it's a survival skill to have, get the kid to the bathroom on time, or end up with twice the mess!  My going rate is approximately 11 cents apparently, so dig into your couches if you need someone to help you get a kid to the bathroom on time when sick.

I suspect this is one of the most fun assignments the teachers get to do during kindergarten.

Happy Mother's Day!
