Eric's bib, shirts for the girls and well wishes for a fun Color Vibe Run!
Are we excited yet?
Pre-Race
We were the cheer squad and official photographers for our group.
Eric did have a camera on the race with him, but we'll have to get them developed first.
No one was safe!
With about 5000 runners, there were several start times.
We let any serious runners have the front and first start times.
| Yep, he slept thru most of it and was shielded nicely from the powder in the stroller |
And color stations along the way
So pretty and so much fun!
That's right, throw that powder! He played for a bit once all the runners left. Then he and I pretended to toss powder on each while we waited for the runners. Isn't it gorgeous?
Finished!
WHO are these kids? or uh should I say Smurfs?
Even Doodle and I got powdered!
This was a lot of pictures wasn't it? Well, it wasn't even half of the ones we took. That is how much fun and crazy it was! Check for one near you, it was the slowest 5K I have ever seen, many walked the entire route. I am super jealous that I couldn't do it myself. Honestly, just waiting for them took it out of me and required some pain management once we got home. Next time, I'm ALL IN!
P.S. I think this put me back in the totally awesome mom side of things. The kids knew we were going to do the run, so Emma doesn't get that credit. However, after my completely failed "let's sleep in a cool fort for the night" experiment, in which I was told that was a terrible idea by our five year old, it's nice to have something that they all really loved.
