This summer the kids dutifully read and filled out the library's summer reading program. One of the rewards was to go to the zoo on a hot Saturday morning and have extra, passport events.
We saw costume characters from books we read!
He was very serious about checking the map each time we saw a new animal.
Not sure if this is an emu or what, but it was a new animal for us to see!

We are very excited about the zoo expansion going on. Can't wait for it to open and to see how it all works together!
