Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sweetness, my does 6 look good on you?!

A while back, she declared she wanted to have a "Subway" birthday party. Not with tunnels and trains, but a party AT Subway.  I thought it was a better idea than, Chuck E Cheese, or any number of other popular joints in the 6 year old range. However, Subways don't have party rooms and they are not exactly spacious. So I talked her into having it at the park, but we would get a party platter of Subway sandwiches.  She agreed.  We invited her friends, and planned it for 11AM on her birthday, and since all the invitees were in morning Kindergarten, this seemed like a feasible plan.

Except, we got a random and rare second snow storm for the area the night before and at 11AM this is what the park looked like:

 A balmy 38* with snow cover, it was melting, but that makes wet snow cover.

Being ever resourceful, I went across the street (earlier that morning) and talked to the guys at the fire station if we could use their bay area to have our party. They didn't mind, and we had a blast!

 Look at that spread! Sandwiches, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, grapes, chips and cupcakes. We did our best to stay with the Subway theme of "fit".

The guys moved the 2 trucks out so we had a large open space. But that didn't stop the game of hide and seek!

 Big open space, and they all crowded around when she opened gifts.
