Spring, winter, where are we?

Thursday we did a really lovely sunset hike in a local national park.

  Saturday, at 6:30 it was raining mixed with a bit of slush/ snow. At 7:15 this is what the kids woke to.

Is it any wonder the kids can't kick their colds?  We're not sure where we live. By 11am, most of the snow was gone. However, it continued to snow until about 9am. Huge fun flakes.  Secretly, I had wished it was a school day, so we could have had a snow day from school.
