Our project part 1

The project is not done.  But let me remind you of what we started with.

These are the curtains that came with the house.

 They are the same color and the top picture is more true.

They are alright, but with our low ceilings they made the room feel a bit heavy and stuffy.

And the wall color, notice the lack of a color color we had.  It was a sage green but a gray sage green. Nondescript.  Here is a better picture of the wall color.

 Also our basic nondescript carpet.  After living here for 2.5yrs Eric was tired of discussing and saving our pennies and decided it was time to jump right in.  Above Sweetness is helping to pull the carpet up off the tacks.

Here the monkeys, (can you find them?) are making sure our new flooring doesn't walk out the front door and back to the store.

So in the same line of, if you give a mouse a cookie .. . . .

I said, if we buy flooring today (Nov. 11th) I don't want it sitting in our garage until January.  And if we are going to replace the floors, I want to first paint the walls.  And if you have to take the trim off then I want to paint that before it goes back on.  He said we would do it right away and he would have time to do the floors over Thanksgiving, which gave me about 10 days to get all the painting and prep work done.

I made my deadline . . . .   :D
