The Rainforest

Back in October, yes life has been busy, we had a chance to meet up with Eric's cousin Shannon and his wife and her brother in Phoenix.  They live in Southern California and while Eric had seen them at Great Grandpa's funeral, it is important to make time to see family during happy times too!

Shannon was participating in a triathlon on Sunday so Saturday we met at the Rainforest Cafe.  Let me tell you how it went.

1.) Wow! Mom, Dad, Look!!!  This is the coolest place ever!

2.) LOOK, bubbles and fish!!

3.) OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for bringing us here! Can we come every Saturday?????

4.) I see a rainbow!!!!

5.) repeat the above add a few more praises.

Then we got seated.

And the kids did NOT like the place any more.

We were near the monkeys, animaltronics, they made noises and moved.  There was an elephant not too far away leading a "stampede".  It was all just too loud for each of them! For the next 2hrs -yes we stayed and did our best to enjoy our time, Kjetil was like this:

 He did like Shannon though. I wonder if this means we can wait a while longer before visiting bigger attractions that clearly would overwhelm and scare them right now.

To make the most of our day we visited Sea Life while we were there as well.

 I thought it was cool to hold a starfish. The girls did not.

 Look at that smile. They then declared this the BEST EVER, and I think the low lighting and quietness played into that!

 CJ thought these bubbles throughout the exhibit were pretty neat.
