We have one bedroom that doesn't have a door knob on it. The other two have it backwards to prevent kids from accidentally getting locked in. Which is what happened with Kjetil's door, I took the knob off, and a year later, I haven't put it back on.
In the past twelve months we have fixed our garage door opener AND replaced it.
The patio screen door has been ran into so many times it is now bent and unable to be used. The patio door for awhile wouldn't completely latch and lock, thanks to Grandpa, that is fixed.
When my aunt came and house sat for us, she locked us out, we broke into our own home, through a window.
Last week, I went to open the front door to let the breeze and sunshine run through our house, and I heard a small clink, and the door would not open. I tried again. No luck. I managed to break the interior mechanism that releases the latch. Thankfully I had another exterior door knob on hand.
Great weekend to do project.
It was a family affair to fix it!
The good news is, our house is back to being secure. We are no longer locked INSIDE our house, nor are we locked out. If we cross our fingers and toes, maybe we have our doors in proper working order again and will be trouble free for awhile.

Quite the adventures! I hope that all "doors" stay open when needed and closed tight when wanted.
