I know this, in the land of very few season distinctions, by the fact that she's back.
Who?
Our morning dove.
She has laid two more eggs this year. May this year be a blessing for her.
She also seems to either fear us less this year or is fiercely protecting her eggs.
Originally this year she tried to make her nest above our door, but that was too high risk for her, and she moved it to the flower pot again.
The kids, throughout the neighborhood, are eagerly watching her sit on her eggs.
